MV Stormdrift II runs out of Scrabster Harbour, the UK mainland’s most northerly port which has always held its charm to boat anglers due to its rich and relatively untouched inshore fishing grounds that boast a number of Scottish, UK and World class records.
Common species range from Cod, Ling, Pollock, Wrasse, Mackerel, Porbeagle Shark, Spurdog, Scorpion Fish and Gurnards.
Rods and reels are available for hire and a wide range of tackle is sold from the boat at competitive prices.
All levels of anglers welcome and tuition is freely given. MV Stormdrift II’s wide open deck area makes for an ideal fishing platform with plenty of space for everyone to fish from in comfort. She has a galley and saloon aft of wheelhouse with Oven and Hob, stainless steel sink, pumped water and seating in the saloon for 12 people around a central table. On deck, aft of the saloon, is a (standard) toilet with an electric shower also with a stainless steel sink.
During full day trips a free light lunch is provided. Coffee and Tea are freely available.
Full day, half day and evening trips catered for. Sight seeing trips can also be arranged to view the spectacular scenery and wildlife around the Caithness coast.
She carries GPS, Echo Sounder, Radar, DSC VHF & VHF radio and full SOLAS LSA equipment such as lifejackets,raft and flares.
